The reason why I chose The Sex Pistols was based on their energy level alone and their huge influence on punk. I love The Clash though.Steve Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09572341216196203060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8202235628193727948.post-36979028279250151222009-06-18T08:08:26.417-05:002009-06-18T08:08:26.417-05:00>the greatest British punk band of all time
NO...>the greatest British punk band of all time

NO!

The Clash are the greatest British Punk band of all time, hands down.
The Sex pistols were probably the most influential punk band in the British scene - thier "The Filth and The Fury" interview on Bill Grundy on ITV prime time was the event that put Punk rock into the mainstream
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTM3CdzB4Vs
but really they were just a New York Dolls tribute act.

Having said that "Anarchy in the UK" and "God Save the Queen" are classic songs of rage, indespensible.David Kameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08055283614338886809noreply@blogger.com
