THE DARDOS AWARDS

I'm usually not for chain letters and such, but The Dardos Award is a very good idea. It gets the word out to your readers about the blogs that you love, and it shows the authors of your favorite blogs your appreciation for their work. That being said, I've been nominated for The Dardos by T. L. Bugg, who runs the excellent movie blog 'The Lightning Bug's Lair." I graciously accept the nomination. Without any further ado, let me lay forth the rules of this award and acknowledge my five personal favorite blogs.

“The Dardos Award is given for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values transmitted in the form of creative and original writing. These stamps were created with the intention of promoting fraternization between bloggers, a way of showing affection and gratitude for work that adds value to the Web.”

1) Accept the award by posting it on your blog along with the name of the person that has granted the award and a link to his/her blog.

2) Pass the award to another five blogs that are worthy of this acknowledgement, remembering to contact each of them to let them know they have been selected for this award.

Here are my five nominees:

1. The Lightning Bug's Lair. T. L. Bugg maintains a thorough, exhaustive, and highly entertaining blog dedicated to reviewing cult and exploitation films. I always enjoy reading his insightful, well researched movie reviews. I shudder to think the amount of time and research that goes into his posts. Always a great place to hang out if you're into cinema outside the norm.

2. Luceriffic! KNY maintains an amazing always entertaining blog dedicated to music, musings, art, and cool links . He is a graphic designer, so check out some of his blog specific designs he sells on T-shirts at his Luceriffic! Shoppe .

3. Enter the Octopus. I love reading Matt Stagg's excellent literary blog about about modern, cutting edge science fiction and fantasy authors and more. There are also tidbits of music, tons of links, and other obscure, beautifully strange information that is highly informative and entertaining.

4. Abstract and Non-Objective. David Abstract runs a uniquely personal blog that is always a treat to read. Offering his insights into music, literature, life, and art, his blog is a place that I stop by daily.

5. Freddy in Space . This is an exhaustive horror blog masterfully written by Johnny Boots. I loved his "25 days of Christmas Horror" posts that he did last December, a Christmas horror movie clip per day for twenty five days. This is another blog that I always enjoy checking in on.

So there you have it. Congratulations to all of you, and I would like to thank T.L. Bugg once again for nominating my blog.

Thanks so much!

It's great to be nominated - "uniquely personal" a nice way of saying it - mostly I just write what I want and hope other people will find it interesting. I'm going to have to write up some good posts now... hope you enjoy.
