CHRISTMAS EVIL

Director Lewis Jackson's CHRISTMAS EVIL(1980). The first time I saw this movie, I wasn't too crazy about it. But yesterday, I decided to give it another chance...and I'm glad I did! CHRISTMAS EVIL is a deranged little horror movie that takes a little time to grow on you. The Christmas season is approaching faster than anyone would care to admit, and I can't think of a better way to start getting in the Christmas spirit than by kicking back, popping open an ice cold brew, and watching this movie!

CHRISTMAS EVIL is about a man(Harry Stadling) unhealthily obsessed with Christmas. As child, he saw his mom making out with Santa Claus and this scarred him for life. As an adult, he has delusions that he is Santa Claus. He sleeps in his Santa suit and stalks all of the neighborhood children, keeping track of who's been naughty and who's been nice. He keeps two books, one for bad boys and girls and one for good boys and girls....he writes down everything they do in these books. He keeps his house decorated with Christmas paraphernalia and listens to Christmas music all of the time. Harry also works at a toy factory and he insists on perfection for every toy.

All Harry really wants is for everyone to get what they deserve for Christmas, but he is becoming steadily unhinged and disillusioned with the human race. His brother does not treat him well, and his co-workers make fun of his obsession with the holiday. On Christmas Eve, Harry snaps. He dons his Santa suit, permanently glues on a beard, and paints his van to resemble a sleigh. Clearly, Harry has lost it. In his mind, the van is his sleigh, and it is driven by reindeer...he even uses a whip to make the reindeer go faster while he is driving! Anyway, he loads the van up with toys to give all of the good little boys and girls...and the bad ones..well they get toys with missing limbs and heads! As for the adults....well there are plenty that have been very bad and they are going to get what they deserve! Watch in awe and horror as Harry goes on bloody killing spree at the same that he is delivering presents!

Harry has the whole city in a panic, and everyone wearing a Santa suit on Christmas Eve is being called in for questioning. Will Harry's bloody rampage ever be stopped?

I will divulge no more, as this movie has one of the most outlandish and hilarious endings ever seen in a horror movie! This one must be seen to be believed! Get CHRISTMAS EVIL now!
